Dear Roger,my friend and rival.

I wish this day would have never come. It’s a sad day for me personally and for sports around the world.
It’s been a pleasure but also an honor and privilege to share all these years with you, living so many amazing moments on and off the court
Thanks for all @rogerfederer

That knee really must be bad for Roger not to be able to push until Basel or a last Wimbledon. Good that he’ll be able to retire through this Laver Cup Big 4 reunion. Once he told me he never had these fairytale-like retirement plans so surely he’ll be fine w/ how it stops now.
