אני לא יודע מה מעמדו של גרד מולר בדירוג החלוצים כי מעולם לא ראיתי אותו משחק, אבל אני לא חושב שאי פעם היה "אבטיפוס" של כדורגלן, כמו שמולר היה אבטיפוס של חלוץ. במשך שנים, כל חלוץ שהוא "חיית רחבה", היה קודם כל מוגדר כחלוץ בסגנון של מולר. זה חתיכת מקום בהיסטוריה.
